No more Shroom Kits? No More fields? What gives?
On
June 25, 2001 a fellow named Crocetta
was arrested in Sebastian, FL after he allowed police to search his car. He
was found in possession of Psilocybe Mushrooms from a field that appeared on
this website.
On July 1st a warning article appeared in the Vero Beach Press Journal with
the following text :
That "bad trip" from eating hallucinogenic mushrooms found in area pastures might be a trip to the Indian River County Jail.It also could land a person in the morgue, if the mushrooms come from oneof several species that are toxic.Violators caught picking the psychedelic mushrooms on private property no longer will be given warnings, as was done in previous years, said Sheriff Roy Raymond. At the minimum, offenders will be charged with trespassing, which carries a maximum penalty of one year in Jail. (rest omitted)
On
July 9th, 2001 this
article appeared in the Palm Beach, St Lucie, Martin, and Indian
River County newspapers.
on
July 25th, 2001 My response was printed in the
Vero Beach newspaper.

On August 9th, 2001 The Clay County Sheriff's Office sent two detectives to pay me a visit at my house. I was at work at the Lawfirm where I am employed. They terrorized my roomates, asking them what vehicle I drive, snooping around the back of the house, trying to look in windows, etc. They also wanted to search my home. Which my roomates told them that they would need a warrant. Deputy Gibson (Badge #8905) left his card.
So I go do some digging for warrants to see if I had any (on the FDLE website), and low and behold we find that there is a warrant for a Scott Bledsoe from Indian River County for Obstruction of Justice. Being an activist, I can beleive that for sure. But then I saw that the person they were looking for was was born in 1958 and weighed 185 lbs. Both of which disqualify a Skinny Gen X-er.
On August 10th, 2001 Gibson starts banging my door at 7AM. Luckily waking me up for I had missed my alarm. And when I opened the door he immediately realized he had the wrong person. He said "I don't think you are the person we are looking for"
I said "you
looking for a guy from Indian river county who is like 45 years old eh?"
He said "YES! how did you know? Have they contacted you before?"
I told him of my search on the website and finding the warrant and that it was not me they were looking for. He asked for my Driver License. And looked at it and apologized for the inconvenience.
So what have we learned from this? Well that either this Corretta fellow or one of the other teeny boppers that got busted ratted out this website. So when I printed my response in the paper, the paper gave my information to the police and without doing any research whatsoever sent my local cops after me, and my local cops without doing any research whatso ever came to my house and terrorized my roomies and me for No Reason.
AND YOU WONDER HOW THE WRONG HOUSE GETS BUSTED IN DRUG RAIDS?
